Re-Read a Receipt in ExpensePoint Mobile App.
Sometimes the receipt reader does not properly read the Receipt, and this may cause problems when trying to add the Receipt to an Expense.
To enable the Re-read of Receipt, go to the Receipt Wallet module from the Expense tab on the bottom navigation menu.
From there, go to the hamburger menu and tap on Select. Choose the receipt that you need to re-read and tap on the Re-read Receipt menu option.
Alternatively you can go into the Receipt Details screen and tap on the hamburger menu, then choose the Re-Read Receipt option.
This will prompt a new window asking you to clarify the parameters to be re-read:
- Vendor
- Date Incurred
- Total
Select as necessary, then tap on Submit.
This will trigger OCR re-reading process for the selected Receipt, which can take 2-10 minutes.
You should also be able to see the status of Re-reading as well as an ETA for the time by when this is expected to be finished.
